Christmas with the Browns

WHOA.

That's pretty much the only word that can describe THIS--a Christmas for 13 people!!

It took a half hour to sort them out and hours to open them all. It was lots of fun and chaos...everything Christmas should be.

Pictures of what we got to come in a later post. It indeed was a very Merry Christmas.

Our own Christmas in Provo

Scott and I decided to have a Christmas morning of our own before we went to Georgia for Christmas. We weren't leaving for the airport until after 2 pm, so we pretty much had the morning to open gifts, have a big breakfast and finish cleaning and packing for our trip.

These are the pictures from our opening gift festivities. Scott stayed up until 2 am watching the 3rd Lord of the Rings (part of a finals week marathon)--that's why he looks so sleepy. I was too excited and got up about 30 minutes before he did and rearranged the living room and played Christmas music so it was
magical for when Scott woke up.

I got an acoustic guitar, a laptop, Clue DVD, the game SET, and a 4GB thumb drive.
Scott got a 500GB external hardrive, a Pearls Before Swine (comic) daily calendar, an XBOX game, "The Partner" by John Grisham, and a wedding band.

We had Pancakes, eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast and a whole lot of smiles and hugs on the side. :) Merry Christmas

A GREEN Christmas in Georgia

Scott and I got to Georgia without any trouble.

We got to the airport pretty early thinking it would be busy and take a while to get through everything, but we got through check in and security in less than 15-20 minutes! So we watched an hour long episode of Chuck (NBC--hilarious) that we had downloaded and then waited for another 45 minutes. We took off on time and it was only a 3 hour flight! They showed the movie No Reservations (Catherine Zeta-Jones--a chef, her sis dies and she has to raise her daughter) It was a good movie. Scott read his book the whole time and refused to watch it because it was a chick-flick.

It's warm and raining (sometimes--today is sunny) in Georgia. Light jacket weather. Which is both good and bad--because I don't have a jacket (i brought a coat :S) and then all the clothes i brought are 3/4 and long sleeved. I should be ok. It's nice not to freeze when i go outside, but i will miss the white Christmas.

1 Shopping day Left!!!! ahhhhhh :)

Statue Violation

Chief Massasoit is now a snowman. How they pulled this one off without getting caught is beyond me. Not only did they successfully do this without getting caught, they successfully did this! This statue stands probably 12 feet tall! It wasn't blue the first day I saw it, but it is now.

Llama Llama

So, my biology teacher said he was going o bring in some of his Llamas and Alpacas into class today. And he did!

He actually raises and breeds and does research with them on his farm. He said he's got nearly 200 altogether of the various breeds. Picasso is one of his favorite. It was just so unreal to see them all in the classroom--which is in the back of the library no less!

Picasso (alpaca), Bodie (llama), and I can't remember the other name (a surrey) .

My biology teacher is the best. I may hate bio, but he definitely made it easy and fun. AND, he cancelled our final. nice huh!! I got an A+! and now i only have 3 finals to study for! W00t w00t!!

THANK YOU MICROSOFT!!!!!!

Well, the snow may have slightly put a damper on my Saturday, but tonight's events TOTALLY made up for it!!! (ps. Scott bought me a poinsettias for December!)

Scott is a computer science major. Microsoft came to BYU for a promotional event. They called it Cutie and the Geek and they invited couples to come and play in this game. They had donuts and hot chocolate for us and we filled out a survey. My questions were 1. Name something inside a computer 2. Name a computer language 3. How many emails do you get a day? Scott's questions were 1. Name a trendy store in the mall 2. Name an item of makeup 3. name a celebrity that is in the news for having a baby. Though, we didn't know what each other's questions were till later. Once everyone who was coming arrived, they handed out these papers--one for the cutie and a different one for the geek. On the top part of the paper were 2 pricing games. Cuties had to answer pricing questions about geeky stuff--ex how much does this 550GB internal hard drive cost--this or this price--etc etc. Guys had to do a different game about things like perfume or makeup or concert tickets. Then, the survey questions were reversed for us and we had to guess the popular answers for the opposite gender's survey questions. After all that, we totaled up our "couple score" and our score was 65. Turns out, we had the highest score! We made it to the finals with one other couple.

In the finals, the guys had to sing Karaoke to popular female favorite songs--Breath, Kiss me, Ironic...etc. And then, at some point they stopped the music and the guys had to finish the Lyric! The girls had to finish a quote in a geeky movie--Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Star Wars, The Last Starfighter, etc. Each boy and each girl had to do 3 each. Your team got 2 points for getting the answer on your own, 1 point for getting help from your partner and 0 points for not being able to answer the question.

SO, the results?? Scott successfully finished all the lyrics to all his songs without my help!!! And as for me, I got one movie on my own, one we didn't get and one i got with scott's help. The other team did ok, but not good enough because WE WON!!!

The PRIZES? Scott won an XBOX 360!!! I won a ZUNE (like an ipod) with home pack and car pack!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I kept saying to Scott I can't believe you just got an xbox! I just can't believe it!
We were just so absolutely pumped! We got home around 10 and stayed up past midnight playing with our toys!!

Like Scott said--Best date ever!!
