Things To Make

Yesterday, I found a blog called U-create...which turned into a 3 hour bookmarking fest as I found project after project that I wanted to do! I found WAY too many cute sites with cute projects!

Craft OVERLOAD.

Here's a couple cute things I plan on making in the future:

More Luke shots

Luke is turning 2 in exactly 1 month from today. I can't believe we've had him in our lives for 2 years now.
He learns new things everyday and it is fascinating to watch.
He's curious about things around him and loves pointing things out.
He gives kisses & hugs (complete with pats on the back) on command and comes to mom & dad for cuddling every little while throughout the day.
He loves reading books and brings them to us all the time.
He also loves Sesame Street and knows ALL the characters. He learns a lot from it too and loves dancing to the songs.
He can count up to 15 and loves to sing his ABCs and other songs.
He can point out nearly any animal and tell you what it says.
He folds his arms and squints his eyes for prayers...I could go on and on.
We love this kid and he is so fun to have around.

Crafting Up a Storm

I've been steadily working on craft projects daily. I'm working on building up an inventory of fantastic items to sell at a craft boutique in August (I'll put up the info so you can come when we get it). I'm hoping to make lots of cash to put towards a fancy SLR camera that I've been coveting for-ever now.

A pillow I made from a shirt. I loved the shirt but it doesn't fit anymore so I made it into a pillow so it could still bring me joy :)

My card for Card Group this month.

Bookmarks for the boutique (88 of them!)

Magnets for the boutique.
I made the background in photoshop.
i can't say enough how much i love photoshop.

more magnets, yet to be packaged up.
Flowers...probably for the boutique, but they aren't done and I don't know if they will be headbands or hairclips or pins or what yet.

My Family Tree Business is also growing--I've picked up a few more orders lately and it's been fun to have some "work" to do with deadlines and emails. It's also been somewhat tricky working out little kinks here and there with the process. Scott's been good to bounce ideas off of and get things figured out. It seems with every order I find a mistake or something that needs to be changed. He may even build a real website for me--i love having a hubby that can do that!

Look how our Garden Grows

My lack of blogging is directly correlated with my lack of picture taking lately. So I wrote this post first and then went around and took pictures of everything. Just.for.you.

The weather is crazy freezing cold to boiling hot. Our house was freezing cold all weekend and I found myself putting on winter clothes since we didn't want to turn the heater back on. Now it's hot again and I'm turning on the fans and opening the windows for cool breezes.

Despite the wacky weather, our garden is doing awesome. We have a strawberry growing and a few itty bitty peppers starting to grow! Growing a garden is so rewarding. Scott loves it to and we've really enjoyed working on it together.

our one strawberry.
Luke saw it today and tried to eat it!
I stopped him before he could pluck it off!Strawberry plants actually do better after the first year.

We are so eating that strawberry today ;)

The Proof is in the Pictures.

My baby is officially a little boy. In all recent pictures of him it is blatantly obvious how fast he is growing up.

My little babe is gone, gone, gone. . .

Classic Luke Face..crooked smile
