Every morning around 6:30, you will find me tying my running shoes and heading out for our morning run. You may think I'm crazy for getting up so early when I already get so little sleep from staying up with Luke...and you are right (some mornings I'm up since 5). I fought Scott on it for a little bit before I decided it really was the best time to do it. Gotta just get it out of the way so there are no excuses or activities to get in the way. I try to take a nap every day to make up for it.
Scott and I decided to start running every morning for lots of reasons. Scott wanted to be a bit fitter and just wants both of us to be healthier in general. And I am now twice as far from my goal weight because of my pregnancy weight, so now i have to step it up a notch. It's a lot easier with Scott pushing me every step of the way. As much as I loathe running, and complain about it a lot while running...I feel really good when I get home because I've done what I needed to do and know if I keep it up I will only get happier and happier.
i definitely don't look forward to putting on pregnancy weight. ugh! but it's worth it... good for you for waking up to run!
ReplyDeleteWho pushes the stroller while you run? When we go on walks around our neighborhood, Carie always likes to be the one who pushes the stroller because she wants the harder workout. I was just curious for you guys?
ReplyDeleteRight now Scott pushes it when we are running and I push it when we are walking for the warm-ups and cooldowns and the little interval break during our run.
