Sweet Scallops

I've joined See Kate Sew's Sweet Scallops tote Sew-Along and just wanted to pop a picture up here of the end result!!

She created this cute (and pretty easy) pattern for everyone to use and then if you play along, you can link your finished bag to the party (here) by Nov 15th! That's not much time left to do it, but it only took a day for me to finish it and I used all fabric that I already had in my stash (which means for me it was free! Boo-yah!)

So here it is!

I've had this coral eyelet material in my closet since college--I had all the best intentions of making a dress out of it...
Here's the inside

I thought it would look cute with a bow on it too, so here it is with the bow.

What do you think--bow or no bow?? I still can't decide!!

  1. I absolutely love the bow! I don't know that I have seen any scalloped bag like this before and I think it is totally adorable.

  2. I like that you only used one color... the layers of scallops are busy enough on their own, so one color works really well!
