I have just bought a change pad which is 75cm long x 45cm wide (29.5 inches long x 17.7 inches wide). Any chance you could figure out what sized piece of fabric I would need to start with? I ...I used a heavy weight cotton that is washable. I just treat stains like I do the rest of my laundry and throw it in the wash. If you can't wash the fabric you are using you may have to google how to treat stains on that type of fabric. You could also make a "liner" layer that you would lay on top of the changing pad that IS washable. I had a changing cover that had a soft vinyl oval to lay over the fabric one--it was wipe-able and washable. I'd like to make one for a friend as well; however her changing pad is a bit smaller, the dimensions are 30 x 16 -- should I just reduce the length cut to 46"? So I'd cut a piece 46 x 32, but then follow all other instructions? I'd also cut down on the elastic as well, but am more concerned about sizing the fabric correctly as she lives out of town so I won't be able to test it.
