Museum of Natural Curiosity

My Parents flew in from Ohio for a week in July and we did lots of fun things!  My sister and all her kids met up with us and we went to Thanksgiving Point’s Museum of Natural Curiosity for the first time.

Sam was bored waiting for our turn in line.  DSC_8692

This was probably Sam’s favorite place to play!  It was an Animal Hospital.  You could put stuffed animals on the Xray machine and it would show the Xray of that animal! DSC_8708 DSC_8710 DSC_8713Sam was mostly overwhelmed by all the people in the entire museum, so he was happy to find a quiet corner and build tall towers with these cut wood pieces while Luke drew some pictures at the next table.  DSC_8716 DSC_8717 DSC_8718 DSC_8722 DSC_8731

Sam was more than ready to leave and he found solace in playing phone games.   DSC_8740 Not pictured:

The grocery store was a favorite—Sam and Luke played there a long time collecting and sorting out all the vegetables.

There was also a little toddler area where Sam had fun feeding the bunny’s carrots and beets.

There was a fun little station that you could build a house on sand and then make an earthquake happen to see if your house would stand.

There were a lot of great places to explore, but there were a LOT of kids running around and Sam got really overwhelmed.  He liked the places where there weren’t very many kids around the best.

Overall we had a great time and I’m glad we could check it out with Grandma and Grandpa and all the cousins! Thanks, Family!
