Our Christmas

…you are so over Christmas by this point.  I am sure.  I’m marking the date on this for December and pretending I put it up then like I meant to ;)

DECEMBER 24, 2012

I woke up at 6am and couldn’t sleep! I’m 26 and I still get too excited to sleep in on Christmas!  I got up and took pictures of the Christmas tree instead of just laying in bed.

Luke got up around 7am and Sam woke up shortly after.  Luke was pretty excited about all the presents and the fact that Santa came!DSC_0576-2

Sam was more interested in taking all the bows than opening any presents.  DSC_0597-2

But he did seem pretty happy with some of his gifts!DSC_0613-2DSC_0616-2

Luke wanted to open all the toys as soon as he unwrapped them.  {playing with the magnet-sketch board from Grandma}DSC_0626-2

The one thing he kept asking Santa for over and over was a Hulk and a Captain America…Santa didn’t disappoint.  He brought him Wolverine, Spiderman and Iron Man also.DSC_0634-2

Oh look I was there too…DSC_0657-2

Some of the Aftermath.

We spent the rest of the day playing with our new toys and packing, packing, packing and cleaning…

Because on December 25, we woke up at 3 am to catch a flight to Georgia!  Scott’s parents and all his brothers were in Georgia for Christmas so we went to spend time with all of them.  Luke was Grandpa’s shadow the entire trip and Sam had fun exploring all of Grandma’s cupboards!

Sam loves all things soft and fuzzy—he laid down right next to Grandma on the soft soft rug!DSC_0697-2

Luke loved playing with cousins—Aunt Carie brought playdough to play with one night.DSC_0730-2DSC_0732-2

We went bowling on New Year’s Day: DSC_0734-2

We took Luke to the Natural History museum to see the dinosaurs one day.  DSC_0787-2

and we had fun with the colored shadows and other science stations.DSC_0781-2DSC_0799-2DSC_0770-2

Another day Daddy and Grandpa met up with some of the others and went to the Atlanta Zoo. I had a few shopping dates with the girls, got to see Breaking Dawn Part 2 {finally!} and also Les Miserables!

Sam had fun exploring the house, and getting into all of grandma’s drawers and cupboards.  DSC_0821-2DSC_0826-2DSC_0830-2

All in all, a great Christmas Vacation and a good break from real life!  Now we have lots of new toys to keep us busy until our birthdays this summer.  We got home from our break, we had another box from my mom to open up with more presents!  AND, if that isn’t enough, we’ve been looking for a cat to adopt!  We’ve been looking forward to that for two months now!  So every time we got sad about our vacation ending, we just remembered we have a kitty to look forward to joining our family!  We have truly been spoiled rotten lately!

Hope your Holidays were happy!
