Yesterday I was Kidnapped

Yesterday was mostly an average day, aside from it being Rachel’s original due date. Pretty usual morning…breakfast, showering, laundry, email-checking, you know the boring day to day stuff.
Though I had made plans with my friend Shelley to check out the ReStore in Orem.

On the way there she "missed" the turn for I-15 and took me to Flour Girls and Dough Boys. She told me I could get anything--tough choice to choose from all their goodies! Then we went to sit down and surprise! All my neighbor friends were there waiting for us! I’m pretty sure my exact words were “what… the heck?” I was momentarily confused, but quickly pleasantly surprised.

I have the best friends ever.

I've never been kidnapped and surprised like that before and it was awesome. My day was so much better knowing that my friends were thinking of me and trying to make a hard day into a really good day. It’s really all I needed. I just needed someone to remember this day besides me.

After being there for a while Shelley and I {and Luke} headed off to the ReStore and also found some goodies at Savers.

So thanks, friends, even though only one of you reads this blog {Shelley}. I appreciate your thoughtfulness and always enjoy your company—especially on the hard days :)

  1. I am so glad to hear about your kidnapping. Good good stuff.

  2. I'm happy to hear your day was made better. I think about you and little Rachel almost daily and hope you're doing ok.

  3. What wonderful friends you have. We all remember our sweet angel Rachel. We love you all.

  4. I wish I could have been there. I've been thinking about everything lately. I'm so glad you had a nice time.
