Another Year Over, A New One Just Begun

First, here is my reflection on my 2010 goals

Eat 3 veggies a day
-Well. This one is always hard, but I think I do pretty good with this every other month.
Drink 1 1/2 liter of water a day
I probably don't drink that much every day, I aim for 64 oz, but usually only make it half way there unless I'm really thinking about it.
Journal once a week
Ugh. I have not been very good about journaling. I really wish I had been because this last year would have been a really good one for reflecting on things later. I have been through so much, and only have a handful of journal pages that show what I've gone through this year.
Blog 3-4 times a week
This I've done pretty good with most of the time. Except for in August, when I promise an every-day-blogging-month and only ended up blogging FIVE times. This year will probably be better.
Complete at least 1 digital Scrapbook page a week
Blew this one WAY out of the water the first part of the year. I was too busy with boutique crafting and home decor the second half of the year, but finishing Luke's first year was a big accomplishment for me.
Stick to the budget
I hope my hubby will agree with me that I've gotten much better at sticking to our Mint.com budgets. We've been saving a lot more money too. I'm 3/4 of the way done with saving up for my fancy SLR camera. I need to do a little better with the grocery budget.
Learn to use more coupons & save more money
nope. coupons were like on the bottom of my list this year apparently. I didn't even really try to do this goal.
Food Storage
We've just begun building up our food storage, but we have been saving money for it since June. We just need to plan a little more and really decide what we need to do and do it.
Go on a date once a month
This one was hit or miss. We did do a little better this summer, having lots of grandparents around to help out with Luke.
Attend the temple at least once a month
We only missed a couple months! And Scott even went a couple times without me--with the Elders Quorum.
Plant a square foot garden
Big fat CHECK! I'd say it was pretty successful. This year we will probably try a few new things too.
run another 5k and improve time
Ha. morning sickness really doesn't inspire running.
Stop playing Facebook games.
YES! I've pretty much quit this. Though occasionally I get on one or two for a few minutes...until I realize my old favorites are way too complicated now. AND cafe world reset my level so i'd basically have to start over if i wanted to play. Waste of time. I'd rather be playing around in Photoshop.

New Goals for 2011

Paint the House!
Paint Luke's new bedroom, Paint our bedroom, Finish painting the living room & dining room and possibly repaint the entryway.

Have a baby on 11/11/11. Just kidding...I'll take one anytime! Though you have to admit that this be awesome!

Keep on Blogging
I want to get at least 20 posts a month! That's a pretty big goal, but it really shouldn't be too hard if I actually try...

Journal (for real!) once a week
I think written journals are important. We can write more personal feelings down for record in a journal than you can in a blog. I think this will also be pretty important in sorting through some tough feelings that I've been bottling up since October. This will be crucial in my healing process.

More Digital Scrapbooking
Finish Rachel's scrapbook
Work on our Dating/Engagement Scrapbook ( I kept an awesome journal in 2006, so I have lots of really cool things to do here---At least that's what I'm hoping.)

Keep trucking along on fitness goals
I want to complete Jillian Micheal's 30 Day Shred (I only got halfway through it in November)
Keep drinking water
Track food/exercise at Myfitnesspal.com

Open a shop online
I want to sell my stuff online, so I'm going to keep working towards that goal. This year I got pretty far, now it's time to do it for real.

Learn how to make my own digital scrapbooking kits
I would be so good at this. I at least want to learn how to make my own papers & elements. I'm throwing this goal in here as "to learn" this year. We should always have a goal to learn something new. Last year it was square foot gardening, so maybe this year I'll learn this.

  1. I should write my goals down on my blog then I might know what I wished for this last year :) This year they are actually going to happen though. We need to get together sometime soon. You inspire me!

  2. I always justified my lack of journal-keeping by keeping a blog, but you're totally right; it's just not the same.

Speaking of which, thank you so much for following my newer blog. I've been lurking yours here for a while, but I had no idea you read mine.
